Last month, we blogged about the new legislation heading your way in 2017. One topic included at http://peoplescapehr.com/new-year-round-need-change-2017/ was restroom facilities. As we wrote there, AB 1732 requires all employers to designate single-user restrooms as “gender neutral facility”. This applies to facilities with one toilet and/or urinal and one sink, with a door that the user can lock from the inside. This legislation follows suit with others we have seen over the past several years as a result of transgender identity and preventative regulations against discrimination in this particular area.
